Support for Common Issues

Error Message

Error - Cannot find MSSQLServer service when you start the program.


Reason

SQL did not install or an error occurred during install.

or service did not start on reboot.


FIX: Activate Remote Assistance and Call Us

Call us during business hours and activate remote assistance for our support staff to assist with the install or troubleshooting of SQL.


Error Message

Error - Cannot Create DX9 Device or Program Crashes immediately after starting.


Reason

Direct X 9 did not install correctly, or video card driver on computer is not up to date and / or incompatible.


FIX: Install driver for video card or install Direct X 9 Redistributable

Call us during business hours and activate remote assistance for our support staff to assist with the install or troubleshooting of SQL.


Error Message

Error - Cannot install Sql 3.5 Compact Edition - Would you like to continue installation.


Reason

SQL compact edition tries to install the 64 bit version only which errors because it needs both the 32 bit and 64 bit versions.


FIX: continue with installation and manually install Sql Compact Edition

Download and install the SQL 3.5 Compact Edition installer, then install the x86 version first, then the x64 version. You can call us during business hours and activate remote assistance for our support staff to assist with the install or troubleshooting of SQL compact edition.


Error Message

Installation claims that there is malware or viruses and the program is unsafe.


Reason

This is a false positive, due to registration and version update checks we perform across the web are reported as suspicious.


FIX: Files are safe to use, some antivirus may need to be disabled during installation and sometimes we need to place an exception in the directory we install to so that it doesn't accidentally delete our program. We have been working to get antivirus companies to remove our software from the targeted list, but it takes months for them to release the changes to the end users.
