Full Install: Full installation is used to install Glazier Studio on a new computer.


HELP: Which Option should I choose?

These files will allow you to add this program to a new computer. You need to determine what operating system you have to determine which one to install. The Windows 7 install of Microsoft SQL is easier than the version for Windows 8 and 10. The Windows 8 and 10 version will install on a Windows 7 machine, but the instructions would differ slightly from the guides provided below. If you have problems with any of these files, contact Support at the DeMichele Group by calling (480) 985-4926 or emailing info@demichelegroup.com.


How to use the .Zip files:
  1. Save the appropriate file
  2. Extract all files to a folder for installation.
  3. Run Setup.exe to install the program onto your computer.

Changes in version 5.0.0.43

  1. Changed 2D printer drawings to use the standard printer drawing with shading turned off. Creates a much cleaner drawing.
  2. Added a RE-SAVE all frames button on the frame list screen that will allow you to re-save all the frames in that project without having to open each one individually.
  3. When adding a special charge to the bid recap or purchase order the program now sets the default vendor to NULL.
  4. Fixed some Typo errors in the program.
  5. Corrected an issue with changing a right jamb into a corner on a frame with splices.
  6. Corrected an issue in optimization if multiples gets turned off so the labels match the cut list.
  7. Corrected pricing a minimum glass size during the bid recap.
  8. In the Alt Bid you can change the suffix “-ALT” that is added to the frame name or remove it.
  9. Added CTRL + Left Click on a horizontal or vertical to select that horizontal or vertical and all the horizontal or verticals above.

Changes in version 5.0.0.30

  1. Corrected editing number thus in the graphic editor not saving the change.
  2. Corrected an issue in the General Elevation Bid Summary causing duplicate frame lists and weird pricing on the report. Actual bid pricing was not affected and was correct.
  3. Added the option to archive multiple projects and then later restore a project if needed. You can also still permanently delete a project. If your using the network version of the software, you need to contact DeMichele Group to setup this feature on your network.
  4. Fixed it so that 0 can't be used for number thus
  5. Add a Fab Library to create custom fabrications to be pulled up in the fab operations screen by the user.
  6. Added the check to make sure a valid project name is being used during the alt bid.

  17. Each update also includes any pricing or design changes to parts and groups for all vendors that have been brought to our attention.
  18. When sorting or filtering the project list the program will now remember those settings every time you come back to the project list.
  19. Multiple changes to the Metal Fabrication screen:
    • Added the option to change the machine direction before importing a project.
    • Added a color guide to explain what information is missing or needs to be addressed.
    • Added the Bevel/Miter angle settings for output to one of our Rhino Fab Saws.
    • Added a Split Stick button to allow an item to be split into 2 different cut pieces.
    • The function keys F2, F3, F5 and F6 are now available on this screen.
    • Corrected the program from creating blank list if the New button is click and no Name is entered.
    • In the fab operations you can recall a fab from the Fab Library
    • The elevation drawing will not be in its shaded color that was preventing from seeing the stick ids on dark colored frames.
    • The filler ids now match the main stick ids of the part they are attached to.
    • Corrected the numbers on the screen when using metric.
    • Corrected an error in the Glass PO if a new line item is added.
    • Increased the speed of running Bid Recaps, POs, and Proposals for users with a very large amount of projects on the system.
    • If you renamed the labor zones we corrected the update process from renaming them back to the original names.

  1. Corrected a pinning and unpinning issue of the main menu on left side of the program.
  2. Corrected the fab orientation when a male vertical and female vertical part are switched.
  3. Corrected fabrication errors when choosing the design stile of "all horizontals penetrate all verticals"

  5. Correnced missing hardware on A4 doors if standard locking hardware items are added.

Software System Requirements

Glazier Studio

The information below is a guide to what you would need to use the Glazier software. These are recommendations and we do not imply any warranty or guarantee that purchasing the below specifications will meet your requirements, just that it will be able to run our application. If you use programs like AutoCAD and other software that is resource intense, the minimums might not be sufficient, so evaluate your needs and then purchase what you need to cover all applications and programs you are running.
